Sulawesi Tengah
Central Sulawesi is a vast province in the heart of Sulawesi Island, with Palu as its capital. Covering around 61,841 km², the region features mountains, deep valleys, tropical forests, and long coastlines facing the Tomini and Tolo Bays. The area is home to diverse ethnic groups such as Kaili, Pamona, Mori, Banggai, and Bugis, each maintaining strong traditions and cultural identity. Its economy thrives on agriculture, fisheries, mining, and tourism, producing key commodities such as cocoa, coconut, gold, and nickel. Central Sulawesi is also known for its natural wonders including Lore Lindu National Park—home to endemic species like the anoa and babirusa—and Lake Poso, one of Indonesia’s deepest lakes. Rich cultural heritage, traditional houses, vibrant rituals, and friendly communities make the province a unique center of nature and tradition.
June – October for drier weather and easier access to national parks and islands.
Tropical climate with warm temperatures ranging from 23–32°C. Rainfall varies by region, heavier from November to March.
